The sun was starting to set as Gracie and Ronald made their way to a peak overlooking the beautiful Columbia Gorge. Their relationship had started as friends, then matured into best friends, and a fast and furious courtship. They both knew each other were ready for the next step in their relationship.
Whether Gracie knew it or not, a ring was in Ronald’s pocket. A family heirloom; his grandmother’s wedding ring. And after he was down on one knee to ask her to be his wife, it became Gracie’s wedding ring, too.
The weather could not have been more perfect for their wedding day. Gracie was beaming in her cute robe when I arrived, and she just couldn’t believe that it was finally her wedding day!
Ronald was patiently waiting to see his bride at the end the dock. I really enjoyed this moment, because experiencing the “first look” with couples NEVER gets old. Those two just radiated excitement as they saw each other for the first time that day!
A big thank you goes to my sweet and lovely second shooter Elena because some of her images on this post are from her angle and I’m so grateful for her!
The bridal party was the largest I’ve ever photographed- over 25 close friends and family supporting Gracie and Ronald on their wedding day! They were all so much fun, and for the size of the bridal party- SUPER easy to work with! I also loved how Gracie mixed in the multicolored bridesmaid’s dresses- eye candy!
One special touch that was really different… both the father of the bride AND the father of the groom officiated the ceremony. How special is that?
Gracie’s Dad also sang the most beautiful love song at the ceremony… and from my position, I could see a little mist in the couple’s eyes. So sweet!
There was lots of dancing fueled by delicious ice cream at the reception, while the new Mr. and Mrs. Hainline graciously worked their way across the entire room. I’ve never seen a couple so intent on making sure they were able to hug and thank every family member and friend that came to celebrate their day. It was a true reflection of how selflessly they love others and go out of their way to show it!
Gracie and Ronald, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day! I love you guys and am so excited to see how God uses both of you in your new chapter as Mr. & Mrs. Hainline!! <3
