The Perfect Two-Toned V Boots

I was attending a business conference in San Diego when I first met Liz, the founder of Sseko. Short blond hair, bright bold lipstick, dressed black outfit  (my favorite color) she was bubbly and energetic on stage, and in-person.

I was inspired by her passion and she’s become one of the role models that look up to in the sense she’s building a business that changes people’s lives…literally. Creating jobs for women in Uganda, teaching them life and business skills while helping them save money to pursue education. In Uganda, Sseko means “ laughter” and it’s awesome to see the impact and joy that Liz (and her husband Ben!) have made in so many lives for God’s kingdom!

Beginner's Pluck By Sseko Founder: Liz Liz Forkin Bohannon

Side note: her book Beginner’s Pluck is a definite must-read!  Liz’s story, insight, and witty commentary brings inspiring perspectives to dreaming big and living a fulfilling life!

Meeting Liz Forkin Bohannon in Portland

ALSO, Sseko headquarters are here in Portland, and I went to a book event after I met her (I already had the book but I  just wanted to be able to hear her speak again!!).

I don’t think I’ve ever had more comments about a piece in my wardrobe as I have about these Sseko two-toned v boots. There have been numerous times, I’ve balanced on one foot to read the inscription on the sole of the boot to make sure I was giving the inquirer the correct spelling of “Sseko”

I’m all about practicality and classy style, and these two-toned v boots hit the mark!

They’ve become a staple piece in my wardrobe, easily elevating any outfit and yourself, as the boots have a 2 ½  block heel… which makes me almost 6 feet tall when I wear them!

A timeless style, I love the gradual point adding in visual interest,  but not too pointy where you only wearing them for super special occasions because they’re so uncomfortable. They do run a bit wide, so if you have more narrow feet make sure you’ve got some thicker socks to wear! So if you’re like me and run in wide shoe size, then they’re an excellent option!

The two-tone leather adds in a bit of character and differences them from your more common all-black boot, giving a bit more pizazz as I like to say!
