Annika was pretty sure she wanted to stay single for quite some time. She wasn’t in a hurry to marry, and she was perfectly happy with her move to Roseburg, Oregon from Southern California and working with her family at a local coffee shop…. That was until she met Mike. Through spending time together on many hikes, horse rides, and dances, Mike popped the question… and the countdown to their wedding day began!
I was so excited to photograph this special wedding day with Lisa Ronsick, and throughout the entire day, Annika was so calm and relaxed (even when the weather was not very cooperative for the most of the time we were photographing)! Thankfully the skies cleared for the first look, then for all of their portraits and family formals afterwards!
One of my favorite details was Annika’s ring! Mike so thoughtfully picked out a diamond-shaped in a heart, resulting in some of my favorite ring photographs to date! One of Mike’s passions is training horses, so it was cute how they both chose to wear cowboy boots for the wedding (when you see their photos, you’ll notice Annika’s boots have beautifully detailed stitching on them)!
As the wedding day came to a close, everyone lined up to make a row of bubbles for the newlyweds to walk through and give their final goodbyes. Both Annika and Mike have little sisters at very close ages, and just before they got into the car, both of their sisters clung onto to their newly married sibling with tears streaming down their cheeks. It was such a sweet and priceless moment.
Annika and Mike, your devotion and love for each other is so beautiful to see, and I’m so excited to watch your new chapter of life blossom as husband and wife!
