December first is the day that we’re allowed to decorate for Christmas in our house- I’m counting down the days we’ll go to our favorite Christmas tree farm.
Together my family and I will walk around and shiver in the cold as we debate…ahem, discuss, which tree to bring home.
In the warm shop, we’ll catch up with our old friends Jeff and Sandy who own the farm. And after the tree has been put in netting and loaded on to the car, we’ll make our way home.
Bringing it in the house, my mom with following the trail of pine needles with a vacuum cleaner, my siblings will be pulling the Christmas decor from our shop and I’ll be in the kitchen making a big pot of hot chocolate.
It’s been that way for almost a decade now, and though I’m still working on changing the “You May Not Decorate Until December” household law -I’m excited for Christmas and can’t wait to start the traditions this year!!
Have you started decorating for Christmas?
