I could eat this smoked salmon dip like it’s candy- Hershey bar or smoked salmon? It’s an easy choice. Does that make me sound old? Oh good, I’m glad you feel that way too, or a least the rest of my family does (it’s almost like a battle for the smoked salmon….) But enough about war and salmon, let’s get on with it.
The recipe I use was made by a friend with locally caught salmon from the Columbia River (disclaimer, I didn’t catch the fish, or we would NEVER EVER have smoked salmon again)! This recipe is a little different than your regular smoked salmon spread, as I put a smidgen of one of my favorite cheeses to give it some extra flavor kick!
Let’s get on to that recipe so you, too, can have a battle for the smoked salmon!
Asiago Smoked Salmon Dip
One 8 ounce package Cream Cheese softened
1/2 cup Sour Cream
2/3 cup Smoked Salmon
Juice of one half Lemon
2 tablespoons grated Asiago Cheese
2 teaspoons Chives cut into small pieces
Salt and Pepper to taste
Combined all ingredients together and adjust flavor with salt and pepper until flavored to your preferences! Perfect for a cheese plate or bagels, crackers…or just eat with a spoon. Just say’in 😉
