THE JOURNAL

7 in 2017

It’s amazing how fast a year flies by, I’m mentally still stuck in summer, but oh well! By the time I’m unstuck, it will be summer again! Anyways,  let’s jump right into a little reflection  from the past year my

7 from this past 2017

  • Published in a Magazine

It wasn’t only AMAZING to see my work in print, but it was also extra special for me because it was the 1965 Mustang of my late grandfather… parked in front of an old church in Litchfield (my hometown!), where it used to take my grandparents, uncle, aunt, and dad to church over forty years ago (I’m also in love with those doors! ).

  • Camp

Heading to camp for the first time! It was an absolute blast… meeting new friends and doing the most cooking I ever have done in a WEEK! My favorite part was watching the girls come in and seeing their sweet faces ready to eat! One time the door to the kitchen was open and they could see me in the back (desperately trying) to decorate cupcakes.  They would stick their heads in the door and tell me that they looked beautiful, or ooh and ahh over them (cue the tears!).

  • Launching the Spokesmodel Team

This is something that I’ve been working on for a long time and can’t wait to welcome ten girls onto a team – I’ve got so many fun things planned (and some I can’t even talk about yet!) Nevertheless, launching this team has been one of the most exciting things!

  • #kmcouples & #kmseniors

If you’re not one, you might get tired of me saying it, but being able to join the lives of people and help them celebrate some of the biggest moment of their life has been such a blessing to me this year- I’m so thankful for each and every one of them and can’t wait to welcome more in this next year!!

  • Running 3 miles

On a more personal note, I’ve been trying to push myself to do things that are good for me, but not really easy…. One of those things I took on was running. For a girl that could barely run a half mile, three is HUGE! It’s not been a sweet treat all the time, but I’m building up to hopefully do Hood to Coast – I think this year I’ll content myself with 5k color or bubble run.

  • Reading the Bible twice in a year

At the beginning of the year, I wanted to make it a priority to make time for God and reading His Word.  It’s a big commitment waking up early and not only has it been good for me spiritually, but now I wake up a lot earlier!

  • Blog Readers

I’m so thankful for YOU, and your support! I’ve dabbled in blogging in years past, but my first year with this blog has been AMAZING! I’m so thankful that you’ve come along for the adventure and I can’t wait for another year with you! <3
